Hindus worship idols

If someone asks why Hindus worship idols, then tell them the secret of idol worship: -

 Swami Vivekananda was called by a Muslim Nawab to his house and said, "You Hindus worship the idol!

 Of clay, brass, stone sculpture.!  But I do not believe all this.  It's just a substance. "

 Behind the throne of that king was a picture of a man.  Vivekananda ji looked at that picture.

 Vivekananda asked the king, "Raja, whose picture is this?"

 The king said, "My father's."

 Swamiji said, "Put that picture in your

 The king takes the picture in his hand.

 Swamiji to Raja: "Now spit on that picture!"

 King: "What are you saying

 Swami ji: "I said spit on that picture ..!"

 Raja (with anger): "Swamiji, you are conscious, right? I can't do this work."

 Swamiji said, "Why? This picture is only a piece of paper, and which has some color on it. It has neither life, nor voice, nor can it hear nor speak anything."

 And Swamiji went on to say, "In this

 There is neither bone nor life.  However, you can never spit on it.  Because you see your father's form in it.

 And you think disrespecting this picture is disrespecting your father. "

 After some silence, where is Swami next,

 "By the way, we Hindus also have those stones, soil,

 Or worship metal as the form of God

 Do.

 God is in every particle, but one

 To worship the base and to concentrate the mind, we do idol worship. "

 On hearing Swami ji, the king apologized to Swamiji.
